Do You Want to Become a Dental Assistant in Crestwood, IL? Find More Information Here!
Thinking of becoming a dental assistant? We help people prepare for a career in the field.
The Advanced School of Dental Assisting, ASDA, was founded to address today’s very real shortage of dental assistants and to prepare students for a career in this rewarding and “recession-resistant” field. The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that there will be more than 80,000 job openings nationwide for qualified dental assistants each year, and that this shortage of dental assistants will increase over many years to come. This means there will be significant job opportunities in your immediate area.
Our program was designed with the needs of both students and dentists in mind. For the students, the program is affordable, convenient, fast, and effective. Classes are taught after hours in my actual dental office and the focus is on hands-on learning that boosts comprehension and builds confidence. Surplus topics and unnecessary philosophy are excluded to avoid confusion and delay. All school materials are provided by ASDA. To you, this means that you can begin your new career sooner, with less cost and greater comfort level with your new skills.
For dentists, we provide graduates who know dental offices and routines. Dentists can rely on our graduates to become productive quickly in their practices due to the hands-on aspect of their training, and they appreciate that the program leaves treatment and office philosophy to their discretion. This translates to better help, faster for doctors who desperately need dental assistants. To you, this means that we provide you an advantage in both hiring opportunities and compensation.
Our program is only 9 weeks, and is held twice a week on Wednesday and Thursday from 8am–12pm in my dental office. Our classes are limited with a teacher for each 5 students and the next session begins June 9th, 2010 and then again in September. The tuition is $2,750 complete, with no hidden costs or charges, and must be paid in full two weeks prior to the start of class. This price includes all textbooks, a workbook, instruments, and models of teeth, scrubs, protective eyewear, gloves, and masks. Financing is available. You will also become CPR certified. The only requirement is a high school diploma or GED. You are always welcome to visit my office for a tour of the school. To make an appointment, just call us.
We help people prepare for a career in the field, not just another job with an uncertain future. If you need any additional information, call us at (708) 239-3161.
Snoring, Sleep Apnea, and Biobloc Therapy
Snoring can be a warning sign that normal breathing is not taking place during sleep. While there are many conditions that can lead to snoring, one of the most serious is a disorder called “sleep apnea.” For an estimated 20 million Americans, the ability maintain regular breathing during sleep is impossible. As a result, they do not receive the proper amount of oxygen their body needs. Adult sleep apnea patients are at a higher risk for high blood pressure, heart attacks, and strokes. Children often have sleep apnea type breathing due to improper alignment of the jaws and teeth that can lead to problems with normal growth and development and are associated with lower school performance and IQ, and behavior disorders such as ADHD.
As a member of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Bargamian treats hundreds of adults and children with snoring and sleep apnea disorders with the latest removable appliance techniques. These specialized mouth guards are customized to each patient’s individual needs and will decrease snoring and sleep apnea by allowing the patient to breathe better and get a more normal supply of oxygen.
This gives adults the chance to reduce the risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke without the use of CPAP or surgery. The better sleep and increased energy is what most patients love the most about appliance therapy, and couples happily join each other again after having slept in different rooms due to loud snoring.
For kids, Dr. Bargamian uses a leading method in the early prevention snoring and sleep apnea problems called the Biobloc therapy. The appliances used in Biobloc therapy guide the growth of the jaws and teeth to their normal positions which maximizes the child’s ability to breath and gives the best cosmetic look to the face and teeth. A key to Biobloc therapy is that extraction of permanent teeth and jaw surgery won’t be necessary if we catch the problems early and begin treating children ages 7–10. That’s why a consultation with Dr. Bargamian is strongly recommended for all kids by age 7. Dr. Bargamian and his staff see that kids treated with Biobloc are happier and healthier in so many ways. They sleep and breathe better. They grow better. They have more beautiful faces and smiles. They are more responsible from wearing and taking care of their appliances. And they have eliminated most of the risk factors for the development of snoring and sleep apnea and other problems such as TMJ dysfunction.
While Dr. Bargamian is a leader in sleep apnea appliance therapy for adults, he is the only provider of Biobloc therapy for kids in the Chicagoland area and one of a few doctors in the Midwest. It takes a very dedicated doctor and staff to get the advanced training necessary to do Biobloc therapy and have the caring and patience to work with young kids. Their dedication to helping kids get healthier with Biobloc therapy is what Dr. Bargamian and his staff are most proud of.
